More than likely, they are just showing up. I will know more this weekend and report back.

Yeah no geese really showing up yet!!!! Canada geese started moving in the last couple days but no snows. We still have snow on the ground (melting fast) but we still don't have open water!!!! The river is the only thing open. Grandpass is pretty much frozen solid!!! Prob start seeing some mid next week in this half of the state

Take some warm clothes with you! The ten day forecast doesn't look good for you. Small push of birds today, not any huntable numbers. I would reschedule if possible.

I as well will being hunting in missouri the 25th,26th, and 27th in either dexter or sikeston missouri and was just wondering if anyone was doing any good around there. A buddy of mine talked to someone in Sikeston and he said he sees thousands going to work everyday just wondering if he was pulling our leg or not?

Who are you hunting with? I am from that area and 3 days ago there were birds but with warm temps and south winds they are all gone. Trust me

From what I've seen since Saturday, your headed to the wrong part of the state. Northern part of the state has seen a big push. You might catch the tail end. Good luck, I think you'll need it.

I'm leaving for Mound city tomorrow. The guide we are using said yesterday was a big migration day for them. It was his first hunt with clients 6 guys 70 birds. The guides did two half day hunts last week and killed 37.We will be hunting Friday through Sunday. He told me guys he knows in southern Missouri were knocking the crap out of them.

Who really knows where they are... ive heard about the big push northern missouri got. Ive also talked to a guy from mississippi and arkansas and they tell me that the birds are stilled stacked down south so hopefully they head northbound. the guy u talked to in mississippi said they got a push 75,000 so still sounds very promising. dont think were going to dexter anymore anyway either going to kennett or going to head on south into arkansas.

takeem where would you suggest a man go to kill a few birds then?

there's near 10 million snow geese, they are not all in North MO.

Yea were do u suggest since were going in the wrong direction, bc contrary to popular belief all the geese arent in Northern Missouri. A buddy of mine is a guide in northern mississippi and they just got a push of 75,000 snows and there gona make theeir way north along with the rest of them that all still south idk why you think its impossible to kill them if theres not 500,000 in southern missouri. And 4 other buddies went to Kennett and hunted monday and tuesday and they killed 46 in 2 days over a small spread so. whatever man.

Where are all of these birds roosting at. I figured that most of the water up in northern mo still has ice on it. conservation has not updated their sites yet.

Our water is open now. 100k birds will open up water and keep water open well below freezing!!! Squaw has 130k and Swan has 120K birds there now that is where they are roosting at but those numbers are way low!!!!! 130 K snow geese is nothing!!!! Migration has been hit and miss Some people are seeing birds on the east and west side and people like me in the middle arent seeing crap!!!!

Also suppose to get 1-4 inches of snow tonight!!!

And not all 10 million geese use the MS Flyway either... :fingerhead:

Someone was trying to help you guys, but I guess you know more about the area more being that you live in KY? He is right, almost all the geese have left, very few are left in the area.

Nobody said they all used the MS flyway he was just saying that there are still birds south and with the right weather conditions u may be able to catch em migrating.. :fingerhead: . and not trying to take nething from you all bc you live there and have a better perspective of it but were goin on reports from around there and further south... there doesnt have to be 500,000 in the area to kill a few..
