Gonna try the snows

Postby Rooster » Mon Feb 20, 2006 5:59 pm

I am an accomplished hunter on Canada geese. We chase them pretty hard during our season in NY. We don't normally see snows in our part of the country untill the last few years. I am going to give them a try this friday. I have about 300 rags 80 silos and 4 doz shells. I intend to set up as I do for Canada's wind etc. Any other tips I should worry about.

just remember they do not decoy like canadas

they will come in real high then decend righ above you instead of folding in like canadas.

also do not wait for the whole bunch to finish it will drive you nuts pick em as they come in singles and pairs etc.

Have you seen any snows around you? I was also thinking about heading out this Friday but haven't seen many birds.
