Postby duckshack » Sun Mar 05, 2006 12:17 pm

I plan on making some silos from corraplast but need help in learning how to prepare the material for paint. What's best for base and final
coats ??? Thanks. Duckshack.

Everyone says to sand em down, but I didn't and it's holding up pretty well. I used the cheap 88 cents a can wal-mart paint, but if you wanted something better you could use the krylon that is supposed to "bond with plastic on a molecular level." If ya can believe what a company says to sell a product. I say sand em over real good and use the cheap stuff and they'll be good enough. People kill em over tires cut in half for crying out loud. LOL Godd luck.

I just realized that this was in the snow goose forum so I'll add trash bags and paper plates to the list of things people have killed them over. LOL
