Lets hear some opinions of the baddest recipe you could put together for snows from decoying to 70 yrds!Steel now-we all know Hevi -or TSS, tungsten supershot would rule, steel recipies!
Heres Mine- after choke testing through the years, i would half to say in a 12 bore, SX3, Terror 675 choke, and Kent 13/8 3.5 of BBs or BBBs!
Must be from the 20 gauge (1400fps). The 12 gauge is 1650fps and shooting this thru the ER choke tube would (IMO and Carlsons) not be a very smart thing to do. (NO SHOT FASTER THAN 1550fps) :fingerhead:
Wad Wizard ext tube with 3.5in kent fast steels #1's and BB's, even have few a boxes of #2's if they are decoying well. But my bread and butter are 3.5 #1's
Kent 1-1/4 oz 3", BBB through a factory Remington full choke. I'll switch to a MOD or IC and #2 or BB if the birds decide to get squirrley in our decoys, in which case our shots are within 20 yards. Most days we rock 'em out at 35 or 40.
I hear a lot about that Terror choke.. is it worth it? All those other patternmasters for $100 didn't improve my shooting one bit... though maybe I was already as good as I'll ever get!
