Rotary/ "Tornado" decoy system

Postby F250 » Thu Dec 05, 2013 1:28 pm

Do any of you folks use those "Tornado" rotary systems for Snow Goose hunting ? I have hunted over them several times with some friends - the Tornados seem to flare the birds most of the time. I have never had a good shoot with them, yet my buddies insist on using them as they saw them work on TV. We also put out 500 full body decoys with the 3 Tornados, and take extra care to camo ourselves.

I've had snows crash into my rotators before. If they flair, shut them down. They are a tool like anything else; some days they work, some days they don't.
