trouble blowing the zink sr-1

Postby kms399 » Mon Oct 17, 2005 12:59 pm

Anyone else have trouble with this call. i cant seem to get the back pressure right. i have trouble with the fast clucking and especially with the double cluck. i have other short reeds that were a lot cheaper and i can call a lot better with them. i use my $20 call probably 90% of the time and i try to practice in the car every day bu to no avail. any one have any tips?
i have tried tuning it but it doesnt seem to help., i have tuned other calls in the past with good results. thanks for any input.

I had some trouble with mine when I first got it, but then I watched the video that came with it, and it had her runnin great from then on out. As for what call I use I really like my Zinks, but my Buck Gardner Canada Hammer just fits me perfect.

i just experimented with moving the reed back and forth. i actually switched guts with my canada hammer and then it sounded better but not what i had expected.

the sr-1 does take a different style of blowing, but once you can get it down it sounds pretty darn good. i love my sr-1 but my favorite would have to be the new money maker i just got not that long ago.
