Favorite Goose Call

I have used the Haydel's calls for years and love them - Black Foot, Cocobola Short Reed and the simple but very effective Honker Call - but I purchased a Sean Mann Shorty call - WOW! Much easier to use and the sound is absolutely awesome! They are all favorites - they all work.

:salude: I blow nothing but short reeds and let me tell you if you want a call that can produce those deep moans and clucks, double clucks , yas need to ckeck out East Coast Calls from PEI. The "cutoff " is dynamite. We hunt alot of geese here on PEI and I swear by it.

As far as short reeds v.s flute calls, There is no comparison. Short reeds are faster , produce truer sound and are a better high, low call.

My nephew bought the foiles meat grinder and blew that for a season and loved it. Until i got him the "cutoff" . he still has his meat grinder, it just does more sitting in the bag now.

I just picked up the Strait Meat Honker a couple of weeks ago, so i am still working on learning that.

My fav is Zinks LM-1 - It's deadly on big and small geese! Land or sea!
