short reed with no back pressure

Postby vacuum6 » Thu Dec 29, 2005 9:26 pm

does foiles have a short reed call that does not require back pressure to break the reed over ??? i am looking for a short reed that i can operate one handed with gloves, etc. i do have a bob hayes call and have been doing shawn stahl's honker talk video. occasionally i get off a good volley, but the concentration needed with both hands (gloved) is wearing me out. i really like the sound of this hayes call but i could be 200 yrs old by the time i get consistent with it !!

Practice makes perfect. I said the same thing when I started, I always had to have my gloves off and all that but when it's 5 degres outside i like feeling my fingers so the gloves are staying on. I've learned how to blow it with one hand and with gloves now. Practice, Practice.

No, I'm not a good shot, but I shoot often.

Check out I just picked up one of their Ac. Goose calls and it requires no back pressure at all. Great call and very reasonable on price. :salude:
