HPH:Wood or Acrylic

Postby asmythe32 » Sun Jul 08, 2012 6:52 pm

I am looking at getting a High Plains Honker call. I already have an acrylic SMH and was wanting to add a wood call. I have been going back and forth over wood or acrylic but I know I want a HPH. What is your oppinion on both? Have you heard them both blown etc. I watched the Foiles video on you tube but it always sounds good when he blows the calls. What do you think??

I used to have a birdseye maple HPH and I really like the call. The Market Hunter is my favorite call out of his line up, the HPH being second. Either of these would make a good one to have.

Never had a wood one but have had a few acrylic ones. It's a Great call. I know a guy that is selling a wood HpH that is signed with an engraver by Jeff. I can check and see if he still has it if you want me to.
