I finally did it!

Postby kkelly » Mon Oct 08, 2012 5:49 pm

After 5-6 years of goose and duck calling, I finally was able to figure out how to double cluck on my short reed goose call!! :grooving: WWOOO HHHOOOOO!! My wife wasn't nearly ecstatic as I am, but hey I've been working on it for a while and finally got it!

Are you talking about the more commonly heard "high/low" double cluck, or the "stacked" double cluck? I most often hear geese make the "high/low" version, but if you listen carefully, you can also hear the "stacked" double cluck, which is also pretty easy to make, just requiring development of muscle memory to build up your speed. In any case, keep at it, the more you learn how to do, the more you practice with your call, the easier it is to progress to things a little more difficult.

Here's a video by calling4life with some variations.
