Call question, which gets lower?

Postby zeus50 » Tue Feb 26, 2013 7:45 am

So i currently run a SMH tuned fairly high. I like the fit and feel of the SMH and the way it works.

I was looking to find a second call tuned for the low end. which of the following would be a good pairing?

TG triple crown
TG real thang
Bay County Shore thing

thanks

Out of the three calls you have listed,IMHO for me the Shore Thing I got deeper tones out of than the other two calls.

They all have a good low end IMO but I would go with a Bay Country and the Triple Crown is not far behind

The Triple Crown in my opinion. I have heard Mitch and Hunter blow their routines and I thought in their hands the Triple got lower. I can get a very good low end out of my Triple being a longer call.

Ben I was saying if Mitch was blowing a Bay Country and Hunter Grounds blowing a Triple I always thought Hunter has a better lower end. Even my Triple sounds better on the low end then my Bay Country.

All 3 of the calls you listed are all around better than a smh for me. I would strongly suggest you go to a store near you and look into trying a Tim grounds triple thang. Awesome call!

If you like the SMH, find a used one online and tune it lower...

Of the 3 you posted I like the Trip Crown for a lower sound, but I would prefer the real thang, as I love mine. Not what I would consider a "lower" sounding call though...
