Goose calling tip of tongue or back of tongue?

Postby chrisss » Thu Oct 03, 2013 12:08 pm

Like the title states. Have been watching bad grammer and I can't seem to use the tip of my tongue but the back instead. So what do you guys use?

I use the back of my tongue. That is the only problem with Bad Grammer...if you don't use the tip of your tongue, you will hate Scott's method IMHO. But, that doesn't mean he is a bad teacher because he is not.

Get the CD if you don't already have it.

I use the tip. Much faster and just sounds better.

I cut my notes off mid tongue. Use to use the tip but transitioned out of that.

Better explanation of voice inflection he puts into the call.

As in duck calling..I use both...but mostly the mid to back of my tongue. I find it easier to transit from note to note.

I use both, with goose though it is mostly the tip, I feel if you try and just use one way it can really hinder what you can do. Some guys myself included run different notes with different parts. I literally cannot do the hiccup with the back of the tongue, yet can do it perfectly with the tip.
