Call that's easy to Moan?

Postby elwoodUT » Tue Oct 15, 2013 7:35 pm

I am running a Wreckin Ball right now and love it. It can be louder than hell or get pretty quiet.
I have been trying and trying to work on my moan and just can't get it though. I was wondering if anyone runs a call just for their moaning sound?
Any advice on perfecting my moan or on a good call for it would be greatly appreciated.
I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that don't work.

I have found the zink money maker to have a great moan. That is the only one I can speak for.

I highly doubt a new call will allow you to do a moan. Fundamentals are the same regardless of what call you have. I can pick up any goose call in the country and moan on it. It is all in the fundamentals

AGREED its in the fundamentals and air flow slow it down a bit and take some back pressure off by opening your hands a little

I use the wreckin'ball as well. The more I blow it the easier it moans, not as well as my old call, so I think just stay with it as it gets broken it will be easier.

When I need to run slow and low I go for my HYBRID that GVCC turns out. It is a longer call and is just smooth and I can get some soft notes out of this call. If we hunt by the river and have fog it has been my go to set up. I also like it over water and ice for a soft finish.

I get great moans out of the Zink NBN. The BIGs seem to put out a nasty moan, but like what has been said before, with good fundentals you can make any call moan.
