Postby MDcanvasback2189 » Tue Feb 27, 2007 2:55 pm

hey i was wondering if anyone has some imput about a foiles SMH vs. the paralizyer from zinks because i have heard both calls i know i can blow both of them but i dont know which one to get, i was always thinkin about the cabelas exclusive paralzyer that is like $80, but i figured i might as well buy the acrylic and say some trouble. please tell me what you think

I have small hands and like the SMH better. The SMH is very easy to learn, fast, and has good range. I have one and love it. I have not owned the Zink, but it is a nice call. I would try them both. Once you get your hands on them you will probably find you like one better than the other.

well i was hoping i could buy one and learn to use it, but if i couldnt learn it i could sell it because they are two of the most selling calls, the only prob is that this would be my first short reed and i want a nice call instead of some poly short reed because i pick up call and can call them, but obivously short reeds take practice.

I am tryin my hardest on my buds goosezilla, but he has tuned it funny and i can do a dam thing on it so im waitin for my next pay check and i think i will get the SMH because all my buddies have it and i think they could help me

The goozilla is the call I got started on. It was a great call. It's hard to go wrong with the SMH. There are a lot of them around changing hands all the time and they keep their value. I would get a nice used one to get started. Then you can get your money out of it later and get one in the colors you want for long term.

I have run both. I would say the SMH is a better call because it is easier to learn how to use and has more range than the Sr-1. The paralyzer is a good call but the SMH has more versitility.

:dito: I have both and have used both in acrylic and wood an would go with the SMH. Way more range with the Honker as stated above.

I started on a SMH and still have it hanging from my lanyard. Learn to play with the tuning and you'll be fine. Just tune it to fit how you like it.

The only thing is, you will have to get used to the bell end of a SR-1... But when you do.... It's awesome!
