If you are not worried about getting a short reed a flute call can be easy to blow, easy to tune and sound good. I personally like the Big River Long Honker call.
If you feel you need a short reed call, I think the Winglock Goose Whisperer is about the easiest blowing short reed around and it sounds really good. It is a soft call but sounds good.
