A question about a goose call

Postby Greekmetallican » Mon Sep 05, 2005 12:27 am

Is The Big River Long Honker a short reed, I own it and the reed isnt that big.

This is the URL for that call. --> http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog. ... get=browse

I need to know so I know if I should buy "Fred Zink's Talk The Talk" Video cause on the info it says tips on using the short reed.

SO yeah

If you can answer, please do.

No it's not a short reed. That is a "flute" style goose call. While it does have a short reed, they blow totally different. Short reeds require you to use your hands and make back pressure in order to break the sound over, and can be somewhat difficult to learn on, especially if you're used to blowing a flute.

The flute does have a short reed but you do not blow it like a "short reed" call. they are much shorter and need pressure and take many other techniques that a flute style call doesnt need. they also can do soo much more!
"Dont land over there!"
So what time are they suppose to show up?
