b2 bigfoot decoys

Postby Champney » Sun Oct 23, 2011 4:42 pm

im switching from my ffds to bigfoots cause the feilds i hunt in are always muddy and i just want to start kicking decoys out aand throwing in the trailer on big rig days.
the question is i heard the b2 decoys are really small? wondering if there the same size as the ghg ffd honkers or lessers? in VT we only have big geese and i never had luck in the past using lesser decoys.
also since there a differnt material are they as durable as the old bigfoots?(paint)

I have a dozen of the B2s I added to my BF spread. They are as big or slightly bigger than the 1/2 dozen GHG feeders I have and the durability is not as good as the BFs but better than the GHGs ( toss all of them in the trailer).

I picked up half doz at cabelas in the bargain cave because they were only 100$. Too cheap to pass up. I agree with the other poster I would say size is not an issue. And like he said durability probably not quite as good as the regular BF but definitely Alot stronger than ghg's. I like em. If your gonna make the switch though, might just be better off going with the regular bigfoots rather than the b2.

Note tha the BF size CAN be an issue if you have limited hauling space. Inittially I just tossed them all in my trailer as is and barely got my 3 1/2 dz in. I started removing the heads and now could probably squeeze another dozen in. If they were all B-2s I think I could probably fit 5-6 dozen.............

thanks, my hunting parner who has the same bigfoots as he starts 12+ years ago told me to go with the old ones. just wanted some advice from people who own them.
as for the trailer im getting a 6x12. my cousin has a 6x10 and fits 100 flatlander fb snows which are as big maby a little bigger than bigfoots.

agreed, i bought 2 dozen at the beginning of the season, not a fan of them. I prefer the originals.

but if space is a problem, i like them better than the GHGs that i replaced.

So you buy new decoys and cut holes in em. I'll stick with my FFD's

Not all of them just a few............ I think I have 4 set up with motion cones but rarely use them that way. I just pop the legs back on and use them that way............

On bigfoots where the legs attatch they have an inset circular flat spot. Cutting that spot out has no effect on re attaching the legs and is big enough to get a motion cone in the body (but you need someone with small hands).
