Flocking silos?

Postby wvugunner92 » Thu Apr 26, 2012 5:37 pm

Have any of you guys ever flocked Silo heads? Im thinking of flocking all my V-boards heads this year, but i dont think I have ever seen it done. Personaly i like the v-boards bc they show up so far away and seem to really draw birds. I was just thinking the flocked head look would only enhance it even better. Whats your guys thoughts?

Here's some pics. of Real Geese 1's, which have their heads, necks and tails flocked, white patches painted with white UV paint and 3 year old RG II's. They're set up 2 X 2 for comparison.

Those look good but I'm wondering if anybody has ever just glued "felt" material on a silly and how it looks and holds up. Seems like it would be a lot "neater" in the application process. Just wondering..........

yes. i am in the prototype phase still of my Canada Tube decoy. it's not exactly glued on there, it's a little different process with the same idea, but a longer lasting outcome. let me see if i can find the pic on this computer of the first proto i did.....

yes. sorry about that. here is a pic from 10 minutes ago. again, this is the prototype, not a production model. hence the crappy paint patch on the head and tail. I just mainly wanted to see if the material was as good as the manufacturer said it was. this one decoy has been outside for about a month now day and night. looks just as good today as the day i set it out. not sure if i will move forward with these yet, but i sure like the look and ease of use so far.
