Goose Butt Up Decoys?

Postby jscheirer » Sat Mar 30, 2013 11:01 pm

Just wondering if anyone would recommend using a few of these in a spread? It would definitely add variety, I have a spread of about 2 dozen floaters right now and would add a few of these butt up decoys if it would be beneficial. I'm somewhat new to goose hunting and just looking for some pointers. Thanks

I use 4. I like em because there is SO much white on them......the show up for so far off.Plus... the do not take up alot of room as compaired to 4 more decoys...

2 very good points there. How many would you use max? Like in my situation, with 2 dozen floaters could i run up to 7 butts? There are used ones for sale in my area. Thanks

Don't think it really matters how many you put out.....just make sure to put em in shallow water.I would reccomend spreading em out, don't clump em up so close together,as they say...match the hatch
