Protecting flocked heads

Postby dakotashooter2 » Mon Apr 08, 2013 10:58 am

I'm just currious if anyone had tried or give thought to protecting flocked heads by spraying them with flat clear coat?

I was spraying duck decoys and decided to spray a flocked head on one of my BF decoys to see what effect it had. It didn't seem to effect the texture or add any shine but I still need to get it out in the sun and see how it looks. If there still is no shine I may spray a few extra heads I have and let them bounce around in the back of the truck to see how they hold up.

I've done it before on a couple and it didn't really add any shine but lightened the color of the flocking which I didn't like. I also didn't notice any difference in the durability of the heads.
