Shells to floaters?

Postby HonkShooter » Fri Dec 03, 2004 4:09 pm

Wondering if anybody has an idea on how to do this. Just want to have some goose decoys out on the water, but can't afford to buy some of those. Has anybody ever tried this? Let me know if you have any ideas on this. Thanks.

If you have G&H shells you can buy removable floats for both the reg and mag size.

A do it yourself float can be made from rigid polystyrene foam insulation. Trace the decoy outline on the foam, cut it out and glue it with waterproof caulking. Remember the put a small hole in the foam to run the decoy line it and glue the line to the foam before you glue the foam to the plastic shell.
