floating v-boards

Postby quackhead7606 » Sun Dec 01, 2013 7:30 pm

Hey all :hi:. I have heard of people using floating canadian geese v-boards to hunt with. :help: I'm curious as to what they would use to keep them afloat while still being able to fold them? And how would the birds not see the boards of foam? If anyone has used or still uses them how do you like them and can you post pics of them floating? I would think that they would be effective hunting wise and money wise. Thanks. Goodluck.

I bought a set from sitting ducks website this year and they work well. I use real geese silhouttes and hunt them on a cooling lake. They floated really well and I will add another set next year.

you can build them for dirt cheep. The wood that you attach the silos to will be bouyant enough to support the weight and will float just fine. just use a spindle that would go around your deck handrails. a little 2x2. then paint it black.
Theres always someone out there thats better then you. I'm that guy.
