I have 3 dozen standards and a friend of mine is giveing up goose hunting and told me he would give me a dozen magnums. So how well do magnums work with standards??I mean are the geese tipped off of the size comparison??

I have some magnums & i mix them in with my standard decoys. it seems that the geese see the flock sooner when you have some magnums mixed in.

I would keep the magnums unless you just don't like them. It doesn't hurt anything in my opinion, and you'll get better visibility as was pointed out in the previous post.

I think it's a great idea to mix up your size in the spread. You alway's see different sized geese out in the wild
Any day in the outdoor's is better than at work
