Floaters???

Postby cast-n-blast » Tue Aug 23, 2005 11:46 pm

Anyone have any opinions on floaters? I've hunted over the GHG floaters quite a few times & they seemed OK for the $$$. Most of my goose hunting is done in the field, so I've never needed them much. I'd like to hunt more over open water, so any info is appreciated.

Bigfoot floaters are by far #1. If you look on any other forum, I think you will find many that agree. My #2 choice would be G&H. We have some FLambeau floaters that we got a wally world that the keel removes and it can be used in the field also. They are some Flambeau dekes that I don't mind owning at all. When they go on clearance this year I will probably buy some more.

Personally, I like the GHG, but that's all I'm gonna say about that. If I were gonna get something else, I like the looks of the Foots or G&H.

Thanks,
& you're right about not getting much use out of them. I think I'll probably go with whatever is most economical. No sense in breaking the bank.

i've seen many other brands chip paint, crack, and fade...if you want to hunt over your floaters for season after season spend the extra bit of money and get the bigfoots
