Bong Recreational Area

Postby thomashamm2 » Thu May 02, 2013 7:15 am

Im a duck hunter and was considering hunting Bong Rec Area. I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it. I was wondering if it is good to duck hunt, how to use their blinds, and possibly, which blinds are good to use. If you also could tell me the water depth and where to park and how to get there.

Hello. I live in West Allis and hunt Bong. The duck hunting can be very good. It's potholes with very thick reeds bordering many of them. You need a Wisconsin State Parks sticker and it costs to hunt there, but the prices are reasonable. You park in the indicated places and walk to your assigned blind. I have a Lab, a dozen dekes and am at least capable with a duck call. I'd welcome company on a hunt this fall.
