Had a 1000+ come down from the stratosphere in SE CO near Rocky Ford Monday morning about 9am. We started calling and had a large group (50-75) break off and come down for a look. I think if we had goose decoys out we could have got them to come a little closer to look. They stayed just on the outside edge of giving us a shot.
The snows are really stretched out right now, as the are most years at this time. We've heard reports of good numbers from their wintering areas in the south all the way back up into North Dakota. The juvy numbers are also REALLY impressive....should be a GREAT spring!
