A few birds starting to move through the area. Mostly divers, and honkers. I haven't seen the mass of mallards and wigeons we usually get. I either missed it or we haven't gotten it yet. No snow on the ground, and haven't had any cold weather, so everthing is still open. If anyone is up in WA or BC or down in CA, I would love to hear from you.

Im in the valley south of Sac and the other night I heard at least a thousand if not many more snows and specs flying over the house. there was a low fog so i could not visually account for it but man they just kept squawking for about an hour and a half going by,

Northers are in Puyallup valley

Postby manchild425 » Wed Dec 24, 2008 4:02 pm

The northern birds are in the Puyallup valley in western Washington. I was scouting the valley last week and saw no less than 1,000 geese in several waves and about 100 duck in three flocks. I've never seen this many birds at once. I even shot a snow goose last week, and i rarely see them.
