About 1,000 snows on John Martin Reservoir in Southeast Colorado today.

The Corps of Engineers is setting up to dredge the silt on the west side of the dam & will be going at it probably till late spring. The nice thing is that that area is closed off to about 2 miles west of the dam on the south side anyway. The road in is being kinda improved, too.

Let's hear some shooting out there now!

According to Colo DOW John Martin Reservoir now has 60,000 Snows on it. Since the Corps of Engineers is dredging next to the dam, the snows seem to be concentrated toward the west end of the reservoir. About 1-2 miles west of the dam. I can't hunt this year, so you guys go get 'em!

Hey yall the late season is about to start and i was wondering if anyone knows where the snows are at? I'm planning on going out by Queens, but i don't want to make the five hour trip if there aren't any birds. If anyone's been out by there and has info on the snows I'd like to know. I'll keep everyone up to date if i do go out there.
