I dont use calls. I have pet ducks, they cant fly, I take em in the boat with me, tie a long string to their leg, toss em out and let them swim around and they call in all my ducks for me...

the Missouri book of regs. reads that you cannot use live decoys.

My grandpa had call ducks, but they outlawed them here in Iowa that sucks because that works a lot!

my favorite duck call is an olt 77 that I bought in 1978, yes, I'm that old.

I just noticed this thread in a search and thought some information might be valuable concerning the use of live decoys. from live decoys to guys making decoys out of anything that would float (wood, cork, foam) to plastics, then on to more accurate designs. Duck hunters are on a never ending mission to put more ducks and geese in range, even using stuffers or mounted geese in their spreads, I suppose that's the next best thing to live ducks and the popularity of flocked decoys now on the rise.

live decoys were actually outlawed in the 1930's nationwide, it's not a state to state law. Here is a great article on the history of live decoys and other interesting things that came from the need for waterfowl management. It might be a good source of information for some of the writing assignments you might have in school. http://edecoy.org/livedecoy.html
