First Wood Duck Mount

Shot my first Wood Duck earlier this year and got it mounted from Craig Hall Taxidermy here in Mebane, NC. Very pleased with the finished product. Here is a picture!

Thats good to hear! Even though it may not be the best mount, it does represent an great memory. Which in itself it pretty sweet.

Yea, he was pretty shot up too and AFTER I took him to the taxidermy, some friends told me of another local guy that is much better, but overall I really like it. I am sure there will be more
P.S. Not like it's a pintail or something

No one is starting anything, as long as your happy then dammit it was worth every penny, plus you learned and will probably find someone who will really do a grade A job next time. Excuse Aunt Betty, he's just having a immature moment for a second on the youth forum. Congrats on the woodie, i just got mine back from the taxidermist at thanksgiving, beautiful bird.

Hey not bad that's one more Woodie than I've shot when I had the chance I missed, it would at least show people you can hit the little buggers, nice!

Funny thing is I got lucky and he was real close. People don't realize how hard they are to hit.

I've never shot one, let alone seen one
