If you have is it better than just the regular shells that we all use.

Used it the first time this Jan on Eiders. - Seems like a good shell. One of the shots was pretty long and still the eiders dropped like rocks. They seem to work a little better than similar speed/sized loads. I decided I would try them out this 08 regular season and keep track of how well it shoots. I'll post at end of season...

 What people have to realize is that if you can point your gun in the right direction, any load will do the job. If your missing the bird but still getting a few bb's on target, maybe black cloud would be good, but if you are a good shooter it doesnt matter what is in your gun

I use kent # 2's and I seem to kill ducks at 45 yards....
and geese? common guys you should be making them "piss blood" because so they are so easy to hit!

Ducks----Kent # 2's

hahahahahahahaha 100 yards. I dont really think black cloud is worth the money. neither is heavy shot or any of that expensive stuff. its all overrated. i use kent faststeel # 2 for ducks and BB for geese and destroy ducks and geese

Federal...

Postby ksduckslayer » Sun Sep 14, 2008 5:34 pm

I have always used federal shells, so i tried the black cloud......it sucked. The dirtiest shell i have ever shot. That flight stopper stuff is bull. When i cut open the shell there was like 10% flight stopper. Still though federal ultra shok high density is the stuff.
Cant wait for it to get cold.....

hahaha 100yds, yeah ok. First off you would have to lead that bird so far, and secondly steel wont kill that far. If it does hit it, its not going to kill it. Just stupid IMO. I had a guy tell me that with his patternmaster and BB that he shot snows at 120 yds. I was just dying laughing inside.

Black Cloud is NOT worth it to me i buy whatever is the cheapest. I guess if you have to shoot ducks at 45 yards might work better but learn to decoy a duck and it doesnt freakin matter what your slingan at them
