Ok I did some proir research on my shot to hit ratio on dove hunting. I shouldn't have becasue now I am spending hundreds of dollars at the local range trying to practice my shots before dove season. I averaged a mere 6 shots to every downed dove!
I was wonderin if i'm the only one that sucks at this stuff? what are you guys averaging at this point in time???
If the wind is calm i probaly average 1-3 shells per dove just depends how well i am shooting that day but on windy days i usually average 3-5 shells per dove..dont get dicoraged... it takes time to wak em and stack em...good luck this season
ive usually got a one to one ratio on just about everything. windy days are about two to one. i shot clays for years before i ever started huntin. I just have to go shoot clays a few weeks before the season comes in to adjust and tune up after the off season though.
