Drake woodduck about 20 mins before I had to be at work. Killed it in my work uniform and still made it to work on time. Been hooked ever since

i shot some sort of shovel bill. it looked like a hen mallard but then had a big orange shovel bill

Mine was a big drake mallard, age 12 and my dad DID get it mounted. Here is a picture I took a while ago, still hanging on my wall and will always be there. I can still see the proud face my dad had when he saw that drake mallard on its back in the decoys.

doubled up on a drake and hen green wing teal, don't recall which one fell first. All i remember is the sound of the shells racking in that old 870 and seeing the splash of the birds after the recoil. I knew I would always be a duck hunter after that..

My first was a Green Wing Teal.. Same morning i killed 2 drake woodies and a hen mallard i missed the drake and cut her...

I was just sittin around my house when my dad walked in said you wanna shoot a duck i said sure :yes: so we walk up on a little pound there was about 20 mallards :biggrin: on there i went to shoot and they flushed :oops: i pulled up and nailed a green head then my dad made me wade into the middle of the pond :help: and pick it up i didnt like it because waslike 7 and never waded before now i love it :yes:

Central Arkansas: ducks, geese, deer, dove, and coyote. Northern Arkansas: turkery,ducks, deer, dove, and coyotes. Kansas:turkey, coyote, deer, phesant(not yet but will soon), duck and geese.
