my brother took a spike, and my buddy a six pointer and a doe. I got a grouse! I had to leave to go to work on Saturday.

I haven't been out for deer yet but the weekend is comming.
Build memories, take a kid out doors and teach them about nature by interacting with it, hunting and fishing.

Learn from the past, don't dwell on it.

Shot a 7 pointer, 196 lbs., Nice deer, but the only one we got ot of eight guys the first weekend. The others saw two fawns and one nice doe, but couldn't get a shot. Mine was an 8 but he broke off a brow tine! My buddy about twenty miles away and his five friends had six bucks, including a big 10, hanging by 5pm saturday!
Why won't you fly!

Shot a very nice 9 point today, the last day of the season where I was hunting. I'll try to post pics.

North of Crosby 4 bucks and 2 doe's for 3 of us.
Nothing too big.. It seems there are only small baskets where my shack is.
There may be bigger racks on these corn feeders at home, but nothing like going North,
a wood stove and LP lights at the shack..

Our rifle opener was today and I filled my antlerless tag within an hour of legal shooting light. She came in to less than 30 yards from the blind I had set up. Got her fairly easily with a broadside shot through the heart/lungs. Dropped her on the spot. I'll get about 70 pounds of meat off of her and now that I'll have meat in the freezer i'll be looking for a nice big buck for my general tag. I didn't even bother taking a pic of that doe, but i'll post one if I bag a buck this year.

:salude:
Is it september the 8th yet???
