big horn sheep in nevada

Has anyone hunted up in the hawthorne area, area 206 to be exact, my grandfather drew a sheep tag and were gonna go up there together to try and get one. Neither of us have hunted up there were going to go scout here in october november for a few days and wanted to now if anybody had some advice as far as where to go. it pretty rough country so anybody that knows the area some info would be apreciated

Nv F&G keep records of the number of sheep taken in all areas...............maybe you can look them up to see if they are in your area and maybe go talk to one of the guys in the Reno or Fallon office to get some info, they usually help out a little.

Thanks for the info. Got some information on the sheep taken from the area from the reno offices. Everything looks promising. Just mainly wondering areas that we should check out when we scout. its a big area so the more information we can gather the better. Thanks for the help
