I was able to harvest a nice little mule deer on the opener of the muzzle loader season. I was shooting my Traditions Evolution with open sights. This was about a 100 yard shot. Shooting a 100 grains of Pyrodex with a 295 grain Powerbelt solid lead hollow point.
Real ducks don't have a competition sequence they follow! Hint, hint!

Do you like your trditions? why I'm asking is because I'll be buying a muzzleloader in a couple months and I'm trying to decide between the one you got and the CVA elkhorn.
