Need hog hunting help - florida panhandle private land

Panhandle florida

I have some private land with the back end of my property decreasing in elevation towards a creek. Area is forested with muddy terrain. I filled a 5 gallon bucket with corn and mulberries...added water. Then i went to a spot near creek that look like hog trails and dug about 30 holes all over the area filling it with corn. Found another spot in middle of my blind direction and made a huge pile. Anything else i should do to encourage a destructive hog population?

That should do it. All we ran were feeders filled with corn that went off at sunrise and sunset. Set the game camera out and within a couple days had plenty of hogs on them.

You are putting in more effort than you need to. We put out one feeder going off morning and evening and will often get pics of 12 or 24 hogs under it. Unfortunately, always at night because they aint stupid.

All 3 of the hogs i got last spring were all before 8am. I used a ground blind and went about it that way.

Feeders can be pretty cheap. Moultrie was the ones we were using. It was a 5 gallon metal bucket with a timer/spreader on the bottom. Hung it from the tree with rope. Cost us about $50.
