X2 I shoot 140 Grain Nosler Ballistic Tip Boat Tail Bullets out of a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight topped with a Leupold Vari X2 4x12 and 2 " high at 100 yards, puts it almost dead on a 200 yards.
BTW, If youre shooting off hand, take a old style paper plate, color the center 4 inches red and set it out at a hundred yards, when you can constantly hit the red off hand , consider yourself to be a decent shot. Youll be surprised how much targets seem to move when viewed thu a scope verses off a gun rest. Also that cold bullet theory goes out the window when you can hit that 4 inch red circle.
Oh and for the best meat shoot a hog under 150 pounds.
