REQUESTING SOME PICTURES-

Postby TomKat » Sun Aug 11, 2013 7:09 am

I would like to make a home made deer feeder.
If you have any pictures, I would love to see them....HOMEMADE that is!

I am thinking about making an elevated deer stand, too.....but I only want to go up about 4 feet in the air.

Any pictures of something like that would be helpful, too.

So, no one has ever built a deer feeder?

PVC tube strapped to a tree with two elbows at the bottom. Fill it with corn and they'll eat it.

The bigger you get the more corn it will hold. We use 4" pipe, doesn't have to be PVC, just whatever's cheapest.

Cows get in the way of my coyote hunting a lot of times. I guess they are semi-wild animals...

They normally don't make it into the woods that far. They've not messed with them in the 4 years I've been on that property.

My daughter and I made a bump bucket. 5 gallon with a 1 1/2" hole in the bottom than run a 1" PVC pipe through it. I heated and clamped the inside end. Ran a 4" bolt through the 1" pvc about 3" from the end and pipe sticks out the bucket 2'. Put a little corn on the ground and deer bump the pipe while eating and make more corn fall out. Mount high enough so coons have a hard time hitting the pipe and only deer rub on it to make the corn fall out.

I did not take any pictures, but its real simple and you can find it on the web. File the hole larger if corn does not fall out easy enough.
