Hogs can be Deadly

Postby Legband#1 » Sun Jul 13, 2014 4:23 pm

My buddy killed this nice hog.
But not before it killed his two catch dogs and two hounds and injured another .
one of the blue ticks was valued at 4500.00.
It was a tuff time for him.
He has ran his dogs all around the country on Bear , Lion , Bobcat and Hogs with the normal injures.
But this guy was a bad dude.

I prefer them about 50-75 lbs for eating , but I'm a different place than my young friend.

Well hold on now.
A lot of guys hunt all their dogs on what ever they are hunting at the time.
Whether it's Lion , Bear , Hogs any one of them can end it right now for a dog.
While I wouldn't use hounds on Hogs a lot of guys do and even more now since you can't run lions or bears with dogs in calif.

We prefer Texas hogs under 150 ponds

No I haven't but it sounds like a very interesting hunt.
I have been out with hounds and catch dogs , not my own.
But it was cool , that was when I was much younger and could run with the dogs.
Now I would need a horse to keep up lol.
