Is it just me or does anyone else in here love to elk hunt?
I was just wondering if anyone had any stories from this season or not i got one so

sept 3 was the opner of archery season here in montana four of my best friends decided to make a elk calling sesion with 3 of us calling and one shooter i was a caller. So we went on doing that of all mornign untill about 2 or so and not much responding so we decided to do a little spot and stalk in the afternoon. it was about 5 or so and we found our first heard of elk for the night to go after. I am not going to lie i was not feeling to good after the fall i took down the mountain so i was stragling behind when i saw a nice bull coming up the road the buddies could not see him. I get cought up to then they were like 50 yards in front of me and told then to get set up to start calling the bull was about 150 yards away all of a sudden before we even got set up a nice 300 class bull was walking right to us. He walked straight to us for almost a hundred yards not even looking at us in the middle of a old logging road when he got to 12 yards i shot him and he didnt run another hundred it was awsome my first bull he ended us being about 290 5 point which is big for a five point but i was a happy camper
I am here for a good time... not a long time

if your not wasted....the day is
