Pups first woodcock

Postby gsphunter » Sat Nov 19, 2005 3:39 pm

Hey guys I went out after some quail today on some ground by my house. I really didn't expect to find anything out there, but we moved a covey of about 15 and ran into a woodcock in a couple hours.

Thanks pointingdogs. It flushed wild on her once, but she locked up on it again and held it like a training bird. Thanks again for the compliment.

Nice Bird! I'm not lucky enough to ever see any around me, but my buddy has a a place up north and we have run across about 15 up there once. But of course we didnt have our shotguns just our bows. The only time I have ever saw one. Nice job
If they weren’t meant to be eaten, then why are they made of meat?
