I think I am getting the hang of crow hunting. Went out for half hour today and shot 6. I am finding that if I stay out in the open(but hid of course), they will come in almost like a mallard. I was in some bull rushes at one spot, and they tried to land by the decoy. The other spot, they flew 10 yrds over my head.
I think I will give up waterfowl and just hunt crow! Maybe hunt duck in November to stay sharp since crow will be closed. (just kiddin)
I am taking a friend out tomarrow. I have a field that 200-400 use, and will give it a try.
Still scared to eat one!

Yea, I started wacking them again this year as I noticed my shooting is not what it used to be
With the price of 'duck loads" this day and age,I hate to blow holes in the sky". I figured it would help in the long run ...but I agree, it's fun to see um fold up and I guess it would be possible to go out and not get a shot.....but I dought it
