I was looking for a good guide and not to expensive to pheasant hunt in South Dakota, does anyone have any suggestions on where to go for first pheasant hunting experience in South Dakota?

well a good place to go is winners south dakota but the guide i cant help you on sorry

You can go anywhere in Eastern South Dakota and shot pheasants. And you don't need a guide. Just ask farmers and road hunt. My buddy was hunting up near Aberdeen and limited out in 26 mins. We limited out by 3 and I'm in the middle eastern part of the state. No need for a guide.

contact the game and fish dept for SD. They have all kinds of maps showing you land you can walk in on. They have programs with landowners where it is private land, but you can walk in. The info they send you will be real helpful.
