Calling for high 40's overnight here in Missouri. Im thinking the dove might be down in mexico before season opener. Have you noticed drops in numbers on the 1'st when you have cold air push down early in august

We had this type of weather last year and still had plenty of dove in September. One thing that will improve this season is all crops were put in late here so there won't be any corn or beans harvested during dove season. Newly harvested corn on opening weekend always scattered the birds messing us up the last couple years.

Adverse weather (rain, cold front, ect.) normally pushes the doves out of my area of Kansas by the second week of the season.
