Hey guys just curious to if there is still going to be some good pheasant hunting out there since they just got 48" in some spots. I'll be going to Winner (South Central SD) any update?

Just got back from a 3 day hunt in Kennebac. Numbers are down all over from what I hear. They had a late wet spring that wiped out the first hatch. The fields have been wet so farmers haven't been able to get in and cut the crops. On the other hand, one 80+ y.o. farmer said it is the best yielding crop he can remember.

Birds liked the thick milo, but it was up past my chest in some places!

We limited out all three days but it took hard hunting morning and afternoon.
