This is the first of many hopefully. I had a blast hunting this guy. I almost jumped out of my skin when he did a triple gobble at first light to an agressive hen call.

Congratulations on your first of many gobblers. That fan has beutiful color. Merriam`s sub-spicies right. Guess for us eastern boys those are our dream birds. And the landscape they habitat is amazing.

Yeah he's a merriam. His colors were even better in real life. Now he's in the freezer ready for the Fryer.

nice job man, i love the colors on that bird, and like stump said, that is a fantasy for us, i would love to kill a merriams or a rio grande, congrats!
