Browning Auto 5 magnum 20 problems

Postby quailhunter123 » Tue Feb 18, 2014 5:21 pm

My A5 mag will eject the spend round, load the round in the tube to the place in-between the chamber and the magazine tube and release the 3rd shell so only the brass is sticking out of the magazine tube. I had no rings in the gun because the last time I put them in according to the owners manual the gun would not cycle. Does anybody know what the problem is or have any suggestions?
I think I might need a new recoil spring because when I was given this gun for duck hunting when I was young with no rings in it at all so I think firing high velocity shells with no friction rings might have worn out the recoil spring

Get some rings at least two and oil the big spring until wet and lastly remove the little screw and large screw behind the trigger to remove the stock and expose the long spring and plunger spray it with rust remover then brake cleaner and lastly with gun oil. Spray some brake cleaner into the magazine and bolt and oil lightlys hould work slick.
