SP when does quail start for you? I think our season is around the end of oct. Doesn't matter, I haven't found any public land that i can hunt without sucking to much wind. I don't mind a hike, but havin to use my gun as a means to stand up and catch a breath just isn't all that fun for me and my beer belly. Know the pup likes it just fine.

Band-Tailed pigeons for me. Opening day dove hunt is too crowded. We'll do pigeons on the opener and chase doves the next day or two until they leave town. After that grouse and chukar.
