No. I didn't even know they banded them until about 3 days ago when I read an ad about calling them in to the dnr.
If the hunting is cold, luckily so is the beer!

I did not know that there were any banded birds. I guess it has been done as a means of tracking them!

I've heard of them banding them but never shot one. I don't think there is to many that they band.

I shot one many years ago @ Mendota.(like 10 years ago... I think) But for some dumb reason I never turned the # in to the u.s.g.s. and I lost it somewhere in my house. VERY small band indeed!

never shot one, but know of a guy who shot like 3 doves the entire season last year (in only a couple trips, but for the # of birds there, i had a hard time keeping a straight face). ticked me off cause i had (with some buddies) killed over 100 doves in a weeked, 30 of which were from the same place as he got the banded dove, and i still haven't seen a band. oh well, thats the way it goes... my day is coming.
The life cycle of a hunter... hunt, eat, sleep if there is time, then go hunt again.

Chuck Norris doesn't go hunting, becasue hunting infers the possibility of failure. Rather, Chuck Norris goes killing.
